Drama Department Trips 2017-18
As you are aware GCSE and A Level Theatre Studies pupils are required to see a variety of live productions of different styles and genres as part of their examination work. Students should expect to see at least three productions in each year of their examination course.
The following trips have been arranged for the Theatre Studies pupils. As they are a necessary part of the course, trips are subsidised by the Drama Department. Please check this page regularly as trips will be added throughout the year. Letters with further details will also be distributed via ParentMail in advance of every trip.
- Thursday 17th October 2017: 'Things I Know To Be True' at NST, Southampton
For Fourth Year GCSE Theatre Studies pupils only. Those students that attended this production with the school last year do not need to attend but are welcome to join us if they wish.
Students should meet us at the theatre at 7pm. Parents and guardians can collect students at 10pm. No student will be allowed to leave unattended.
It is essential that all students have seen this production live at least once for their examination preparation. Please contact Mrs Arnold as soon as possible if you are unable to attend this trip.
- Friday 26th January 2018: 'War Horse' at the Brighton Centre, 2.30pm
Pupils may wear smart casual home clothes for all evening trips. For local trips, parents are expected to make arrangements to drop off and collect from the theatre, NOT at the school. Please make any necessary payment preferably via KESpay. Alternately you can pay by cheque to the Accounts Office, with your son/daughter’s name and trip they will be attending written on the back of the envelope.
Thank you for your continuing support.
