Drama Department Trips 2018-19

As you are aware GCSE and A Level Theatre Studies pupils are required to see a variety of live productions of different styles and genres as part of their examination work. Pupils should expect to see at least three productions during their examination course.

The following trips have been arranged for the Theatre Studies pupils. As they are a necessary part of the course, trips are subsidised by the Drama Department. Please check this page regularly as trips will be added throughout the year. Letters with further details will also be distributed via ParentMail in advance of every trip.

  • Monday 24th September 2018: 'The Oresteia' by Splendid Productions at The Mountbatten School, Romsey, 3.30pm

For Fourth Year GCSE and A Level Theatre Studies pupils only.

Pupils will be taken to Mountbatten School and then will return to KES in time for late buses. Pupils are expected to wear school uniform.

  • Friday 19th October 2018: 'FUP' by Kneehigh Theatre at Nuffield Campus Theatre, Southampton, 7.30pm
For all GCSE and A Level Theatre Studies pupils.

Pupils may wear smart, casual home clothes for all evening trips. For local trips, parents are expected to make arrangements to drop off and collect from the theatre, NOT at the school. Please make any necessary payment preferably via KESpay. Alternately you can pay by cheque to the Accounts Office, with your son/daughter’s name and trip they will be attending written on the back of the envelope.
