We are running a one-day trip for all Third Year Theatre students to the West-End, to see a production of Come from Away on Wednesday 18th September 2019. The trip will form an integral part of the work we undertake during the autumn term and to see it performed will be highly advantageous for them. I am delighted to inform you that the cost of this visit will be met by the school.
A bit about the play - the Broadway musical by Irene Sankoff and David Hein, is based on the events in the week following the 9/11 attacks on America, when 38 planes were ordered to land in the small Canadian town of Gander. This true story tells the tale of the town who kept 7,000 stranded visitors housed and fed following the biggest tragedy the US had seen.
We will leave School by coach at
11am. Students should attend Periods 1 and 2 as normal and remain in full
School uniform throughout the trip. We will aim to return to School for 6.15pm
where the students will need picking up, on Hill Lane.
Packed lunches will be provided, but if students would like to bring any pocket money for theatre snacks, or a programme, we would recommend no more than £10.
Students are expected to behave to the highest standard. They are ambassadors for the School and we will expect them to behave accordingly.
Should you have any questions concerning the trip then please do not hesitate to contact me at School on the email address below.
