Our dark November afternoon was brightened by the second Music While You Lunch Concert of this academic year. Our Lower Sixth A-Level Music students took the lead on organising this lunchtime event, co-ordinating with staff and students to produce a programme. Teachers and friends from the student body enjoyed a lunchtime full of performances by our talented and hard working student body. We were treated to three separate clarinet performances from Ben W, Nathan Y and Thomas A demonstrating the captivating range of the much loved woodwind instrument with their diverse choice of pieces. In addition to wonderful solo work from Hope W and James T, we were pleased to include two student collaborations. Kate D performed a duet with fellow pianist Euan P, and second vocal duet with Freya M. The Lower Sixth A-Level Music class wish to thank all the staff who were involved in helping them to promote their first concert endeavour.

The Music Department were delighted to host the first music performance of the year. It is still a breath of fresh air to be able to facilitate our students performing live, after many months on Zoom! We are very proud of all the students who volunteered to share their talents with their friends and staff during their lunchtime. We were particularly pleased to feature two of our A Level students, Thomas and James, who demonstrated their readiness for Sixth Form repertoire. Avantika and Neve both sang beautifully, with carefully chosen songs from classical repertoire. Janvi and Evelyn performed a wonderful duet, which shows great promise as they work towards completing their GCSE coursework. Caspar concluded our concert with a flawless and expressive performance on the piano. We are excited to see how these performers will develop over the coming year.
