Linguistics Olympiad

Linguistics Olympiad Club runs weekly on Friday lunchtimes from 1.00pm to 1.30pm in L7  throughout the school year to work on linguistic tasks of the sort that are tested in the UKLO (UK Linguistics Olympiad) Competition which takes place in February.

The next competition will take place in February 2018.

Last year (2016-17) the competition took place on 8 February 2017, and we entered teams at Intermediate and Advanced Level.

Certificate status was achieved by the following students:

Advanced Level:

Silver  David Veres

Bronze Ellie MacLeod

Intermediate Level:

Bronze  Marrium Chughtai, Iolanta Spanner, Isobel Searles, Sophie Ridley

The previous academic year (2015-16), the competition took place on Monday 1 February 2016, and we entered teams at both Advanced and Intermediate Level.

Silver Toby Saer (who missed out on Gold by less than 1%)

Intermediate Level:
