All German students at KES have the opportunity to work with our language assistant. Sixth Formers have a conversation session of 50 minutes per fortnight in the Lower Sixth and 50 minutes per week in the Upper Sixth, when they are able to practise and develop the language that they have been learning in class. Assistants also work with younger pupils, either visiting them in class to assist with activities or taking smaller groups for speaking practice, which is particularly important in the approach to the IGCSE oral examination.
Our assistant runs co-curricular German sessions during lunch breaks. She offers weekly help sessions for Upper School pupils and Sixth Formers. She also runs the Lower School German club for First to Third Year pupils who want to explore German in a fun and original way.
