Aachen 2018

Forty Second and Third Year pupils enjoyed a fantastic weekend on the Christmas market in Aachen from 14th - 16th December 2018.  We travelled out on Friday, settling into the beautiful Aachen youth hostel with a film, then woke up bright and early on Saturday for a walk into town.  After a competition to find as many facts as possible about Aachen (won by Mrs Hall’s group), we all enjoyed shopping, eating and drinking at the Christmas market, before visiting the Lindt chocolate outlet and returning to the hostel for some well-deserved relaxation time.  We then got to see the market at night, lit up in all its glory.   On Sunday, we travelled back via the Dreiländerpunkt, where Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands meet, and Bruges, before arriving back at KES tired but satisfied!  Thank you to Mrs Hall, Mr Lawson and Miss Pastor for their company and help!  KRJ
