Library & Resources Centre
8:00 a.m. - 5:15 p.m. Monday to Friday, during term-time.
The Library sits on two floors, the Ground Floor is home to Fiction Books for all students and has comfy chairs for relaxing during lunchtime and after school. Upstairs, you'll find our Non-Fiction and reference books, study areas and PCs for students to use throughout the day.
The Old Edwardians' Library, downstairs, was built at the same time as the remainder of the school which opened in 1938. Upstairs, The George Gould Memorial Library was a later addition. It was opened in 1988 and is dedicated to the memory of the former Chairman of Governors, George Newman Gould. In 2019, the Library renovation project was completed, which extended and modernised the space on both floors.
We have a comprehensive range of 3,000 Fiction books for all year groups, as well as Educational Magazines and Graphic Novels. We encourage reading for pleasure and stock classic and contemporary fiction.
Our Non-Fiction stock covers many topics, with over 10,000 titles. Non-Fiction is popular with students pursuing hobbies, additional learning or research for their Extended Projects.
