In 22nd October a group of senior musicians visited a local care home to provide musical entertainment for the residents. The musicians enjoyed performing a lively set of songs which had the residents full of smiles and humming along.
The following extract is from a letter sent to School after the event:
I would like to say thank you to the musicians who gave such a wonderful performance at Hampton Lodge care home. I happened to be visiting a relative at the time of their visit and it was an absolute treat to hear such talented young musicians and singers. What was most impressive was the pupils' friendly and kind manner shown towards the residents, particularly as some of the residents find it difficult to engage and show their appreciation, due to having a diagnosis of dementia. It is wonderful for the residents to have a chance to enjoy the company of the pupils, as the residents have less opportunities to integrate with the younger generation. Once again many thanks to the gifted young musicians for this performance.
