Romsey Abbey is a musicians dream acoustic and when you add a little Christmas sparkle into the mix it is quite magical! KES Carol Service was just that on Monday with a live streamed event enjoyed in each of our living rooms. Chamber Choir, Senior Choir and First Year Choir were joined by our wonderful community Adult Choir to raise their voices in song and welcome in the festive season. The Nine Lessons and Carols took us through the nativity with readings and music that cherished nostalgia and provided time to reflect in equal measure. It was an extremely special event and always a highlight in the KES calendar. Congratulations also extend to the treble soloist, Ben, who began our Service with a beautiful performance of the opening verse from Once in Royal David’s City. The Service was also punctuated with a beautiful dance performance which was serenaded by the Senior Choir making it a visual and musical feast for us all.
