Twelve Lower Sixth students travelled to Warwick University on 23rd November to spend the day listening to a series of mathematics lectures led by some outstanding speakers from a variety of backgrounds. The aim of the day was to bring mathematics and its applications to life and provide students with a broader understanding of the impact of mathematics on society.  Topics included, 'Enigma and the secret world of code breaking', 'Bad stats: what they don't tell you on the news' and 'The hidden maths in pop music'.
