WWI History Day

On 13th January, as part of the School's on-going effort to mark the 100th anniversary of the First World War, the entire Third Year took part in our first 'World War One Day'. This was designed to act as an introduction to different aspects of the Great War, and saw the pupils investigate issues such as life in the trenches, medical provision during the war, the role of women between 1914 and 1918, aerial warfare and the conflict from the German perspective. King Edward's was pleased to welcome a variety of speakers who really brought the topic alive and the day acted as a stimulating introduction to the First World War for pupils.
