KES team enters BASE competition

On 24th November a team of Upper and Lower Sixth Business students took part in the regional heats of the BASE competition, organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales. The six students had to assimilate a vast amount of information about a fictional business scenario, contend with news and data updates that changed the picture, and present their recommendations and findings to an audience of 120 professional accountants, students and teachers. The KES team equipped themselves brilliantly with a fluent and clear presentation that included original ideas as well as good application of the Business theory they have learned in lessons. The team were disappointed not to be placed in the top 2 of the 20 teams on the day, but they must have been very close, and the event was an excellent experience and a good primer for the assessment centre experience that so many employers will require them to go through.
