1st XI girls off to a flying start

A young and newly formed girls' 1st XI hockey side travelled to Sherborne to continue their pre-season work and compete in the tournament hosted by Sherborne Girls’ School. It was clear very early on that the standard was high and the girls had to work hard to get results – perfect preparation their forthcoming block fixtures. Both coaches were impressed by how quickly the girls settled to the task at hand, and standards improved with every game they played.

Results were close in all games:

KES V Wellington School (KES Won 2-1)
KES V King’s Taunton (0-0 Draw)
KES V Sherborne Girls’ School (KES Won 2-1)
KES V Exeter School (0-0)

These results meant that KES won the pre-season tournament overall and we look forward to seeing the 1st XI squad develop over the course of the season.  Well done girls!
