Parents and First Year pupils' rounders tournament

On Friday 10th of June, thirty First Years and their parents competed in a rounders tournament at Wellington sports ground and, while the sky was a little grey, the rain held off enough for four teams to play against each other in a round robin tournament. The 20 minute matches were hotly contested: most First Years were on the opposite side to their parents, making for much amusement among families! Student player of the tournament was Sophie Khan and parent player of the tournament was Mr Bassi. The winning team was captained by Aaron Henderson.

A big thank you to KJ and Zoe Henderson for umpiring, and to those parents who did not play, but chose to support. The event was a huge success, and rounded off by food and drinks in the new club house.
