I am pleased to let you know that all Physics students in the Lower Sixth are invited to take part in an overnight trip to London, which is scheduled to take place on Thursday 30th June, returning on Friday 1st July. The trip will include a visit to the Royal Observatory in Greenwich, a workshop at the Royal Institution on electromagnetism which is part of the A level scheme of work and a trip to the Adelphi Theatre in the evening to see the musical Back to the Future.

The cost of the trip is £200, which is partially subsidised by the School and will cover entry tickets, accommodation, dinner, breakfast and travel by train. A non-refundable deposit of £105 is to be paid by Wednesday 2nd February to secure your child’s place. Payment can be made by the preferred method of KESpay KP1113.

This trip will run during the School’s Endeavour programme. Therefore the Biology curricular-based fieldtrip to Leeson House must take priority.

Please note that your child will be covered by School insurance for this trip, but will not be covered for any pre-existing conditions. Parents/Guardians may need to purchase their own insurance to cover such conditions. Our travel company’s terms and conditions are available upon request. Alternatively, if you require further clarity on this please contact Co-Curricular Lead Mrs Rugge-Price.

Further details of the trip will be sent to you in due course, but in the meantime if you have any questions, please do contact me at School.

Yours sincerely,

Dr M K Mayor | Trip Leader
