Head of Cricket: Mr A Penn

Since 2018, King Edward VI School has been the official education partner of Hampshire County Cricket Club. This allows us to use the extensive coaching knowledge and skills of both members of staff and external coaches based at the county.
For the boys we operate 2 senior teams with A & B teams at U15 and U14 and A, B, C teams at U13 & U12.
For the girls we operate 3 teams at U12 and U13 with 2 teams offered at U14 and U15. The 2021 season will see the introduction of the first ever Senior Girls team.
Winter nets take place in the spring term for both boys and girls and there are regular practices after school every day and during lunchtimes in the summer term.
Fixtures are played throughout the summer term with block fixtures each Saturday. The senior sides compete in regional and national competitions and the younger sides also compete in regional knock-out competitions in addition to their regular Saturday fixtures.
KES teams regularly reach the county final in all age groups and have represented Hampshire in the national competitions in recent years.
Currently the school has block fixtures against Canford School, Churchers College, Winchester College, Dauntsey's School, Portsmouth Grammar School, Bryanston, Lord Wandsworth School, St Swithens, Gordons School and Hampshire County Cricket Club age groups.
There are plenty of opportunities to tour both at senior level as well as junior. The U12 & U13 sides have toured Guernsey with fixtures against Elizabeth College and the Guernsey junior sides and the U13 went on a pre-season training camp in Menorca in April 2018.
In the summer of 2019 the 1st XI went to India (Delhi, Agra and Jaipur) for an end of season tour which provided all players and staff with memories which will last a lifetime. The next Senior Cricket tour will be to Sri Lanka in 2022.
All team details including fixtures, travel arrangements and staff contact can be found on the link to the fixtures.
