Sport at KES

Tennis

Tennis is always a popular summertime sport for pupils at KES, and there is plenty of opportunity for all ages to practise their skills on the School site.
Tennis practices are available to all age groups on our 12 astro tennis courts at the School's Hill Lane site. The School also has 6 additional hard courts at the Wellington Sports Ground.
Girls' Tennis
The LTA accredited coaches who run the practices help foster a tennis club atmosphere where all pupils are welcome to attend whether they want to learn the game, improve their technique or try to represent the School.

Fixtures are played against local or other independent schools most weeks. These take place either mid-week or on Saturdays. The Aegon Tennis competition is also entered at Second and Fourth Year level.

Boys' Tennis

We have a formal coaching sessions which run every Thursday from 4pm until 5:15pm in the Summer term and are open to boys in both the Lower and Upper School. At Sixth Form level tennis is a Wednesday afternoon games option.

We enter the Aegon Schools tournament every year in both age groups offered (U13 and U15), and we usually have some representation in these teams from the First Year to the Fourth Year. Additional friendly matches are arranged if there is sufficient interest.
